Part of the huge Toyota group, Hino Trucks have a fantastic heritage.
Hino Trucks have found their niche in the 8x4 tipper market.
A new high for the Sales of Hino trucks in South Africa was reached in August with 411 trucks being sold.
Adding in the sale of 44 Toyota Dyna medium trucks it brought the Hino SA total for the month to 455.
Hino South Africa is taking a rather conservative view of the overall truck and bus market in 2015 and is forecasting about 2 percent growth on the 2014 figure of 31 544 units.
However, despite this slow growth prediction for the overall market, Hino Vice President Ernie Trautmann says the aim is to increase Hino`s sales volume and market share during the year.
Hino has embarked on an ambitious strategy to become the No. 1 truck brand in South Africa by 2020.
The bold plan was spelled out at a recent media briefing and new model launch at the Gerotek test track, west of Pretoria, by Ernie Trautmann, the Vice President of Hino SA.
